A landscape is all the features of the Earth that you can see in one area. The natural features in a landscape, such as lakes and mountains, are called landforms. The U.S. is home to many very different types of landscapes, which can change dramatically or gradually as you travel between regions of the country. The more you travel, the more differences you’ll observe. Sometimes the landscape changes so much, it might even appear as if you’re in a completely different country!
