Are there lakes and rivers nearby, or maybe hills and mountains? Across the United States, the landscape changes as you travel between regions. A landscape is all the features of the Earth that you can see in one area. The natural features in a landscape, like lakes and mountains, are called landforms. The more you travel around the country, the more differences you’ll find. Sometimes the landscape changes so much, it might even seem as if you’re in a completely different country!
