Traveling farther west, you enter the Rocky Mountains. The range reaches north and south, dividing the continent in two.
No matter where you go in this region, these mountains dominate the landscape. Even in the warmest months of summer, snow and ice still cling to the tall peaks. Here, you can see the world’s tallest geysers shoot water high into the air. Valleys are home to crystal-clear lakes and bright wildflowers. Predators and prey trek and swoop up and down the slopes. The wilderness still rules these mountains, and while you’re here, you get to be a part of it, too.
