Traveling farther west, you encounter the Rocky Mountains. As this majestic range stretches from the north to the south, it divides the continent in two.
Everywhere you go in this region, these mountains dominate the landscape. Even as temperatures climb in the summer's warmest months, their tall peaks remain shrouded in snow and ice. In this region, the world’s tallest geysers shoot giant sprays of water high into the air. Crystal-clear lakes and bright wildflowers populate the valleys, and predators and their prey trek and swoop up and down the slopes. The wilderness remains very wild in these mountains, and while you’re here, you get to be a part of it, too.
