Shake, rattle, and roll! Mexico and Central America are amazing places. They have beautiful mountains, thick rain forests, winding rivers, and deep canyons.
They also have lots of volcanoes. Mexico has more than 40! Central America has even more. Hundreds of volcanoes line the coast of Central America.
This active volcano area is called the Central American Volcanic Arc. It’s part of a bigger volcano zone called the Pacific Ring of Fire. Many active volcanoes are in this area, like Colima in Mexico, Arenal in Costa Rica, and Fuego in Guatemala.
