- from How America Works
The United States has an unusually diverse population. Some of us are native to this very land. Many of us (or our ancestors) came from Europe. Many of us came from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and South America.
Despite these differences, we unite to form a single nation like no other. Our belief in our government is part of what holds us together. Even if we don’t always agree with its leaders. The experiences and symbols we share are also part of our nation.
