Long, long before people lived in apartments and split-level homes, they lived in caves.
Caves gave Ice Age hunters shelter from harsh weather. They protected people from such unwelcome guests as woolly mammoths, woolly rhinoceroses, panthers, bison, and bears. Weapons and tools found in caves give us important clues about life some 15,000 years ago. So do the drawings left on the cave walls.
