No one knows, but experts say that in the future, houses will have to be more energy efficient. Resources like oil, natural gas, and coal are running out. Meanwhile, Earth’s population keeps growing. By 2050, the planet’s total population may be more than 9.7 billion people. It’s more than 7.5 billion now. Living space on our planet may become very precious. We might even have to start looking for shelter on other planets – or in other galaxies!
