People make spending choices every day. They spend much of their income on things they need.
They pay to live in their homes. They buy food and clothing. They also spend money on things they want, such as a new bike or tickets to the movies. They may share their money, too, by giving to groups and charities that help others.
People may also choose to save some of their income. They may put their savings, or the money they save, in a bank. They may invest their money. When people invest, they buy something that they hope will gain value over time.
