Deciduous [duh-SI-joo-uhs] forests may get 60 inches of rain a year.
Many kinds of trees grow here, including oak, ash, birch, locust, and maple. In the fall, the leaves on most of the trees turn orange, red, or yellow. In winter, the trees are bare of leaves. In spring, new leaves start to grow. In summer, the leaves grow big and green. Then fall comes again, and the cycle goes on and on.
