- from Insects
Some insects are great team players.
Like bees, wasps, and termites, ants live in big groups in a single nest. Each nest functions as a family group. Labor is divided up within a nest, and each member has its own job. Nest mates with different jobs may look very different. For example, the soldiers that protect the nest usually have a big head and jaws. These four groups of social insects also cooperate in feeding and taking care of the young.
