Many different cultures make up the United States. People have brought their customs from all over the world to this country.
The United States has a motto: E Pluribus Unum. These Latin words mean “Out of many, one.” This means that people from many cultures have come to this big land and united to become one country. Even though we come from different places, Americans are united by many things. We share love for our country. We respect our country’s ideas of freedom and justice for all. We enjoy our country’s natural beauty and its many historical monuments. We like to celebrate holidays together.
