The Wright brothers’ hard work didn’t end at Kitty Hawk in 1903. They continued test flights through 1905.
They flew their plane at Huffman Prairie. It was a 100-acre cow pasture near Dayton. Anyone passing by could see them, but most Americans couldn’t. So the public doubted that the brothers had a real flying machine.
