Think about the last time you saw a picture of yourself when you were three years old.
Did you look the same as you do now? Probably not. You’ve changed a lot, but the changes took place little by little. You may not have even noticed them. The same is true for many changes on Earth. Slow changes take place over years – sometimes hundreds, thousands, or even millions of years.
