What do snails, turtles, and crabs all share? They take their houses everywhere.
Some humans called nomads do the same. They have no fixed homes. They stay on the move, often taking their homes with them. Many nomadic peoples are herders, always looking for new food for their animals. Others hunt or gather wild plants for food. They all need shelters that are lightweight, small enough to carry, and easy to pack and unpack. Today, many houses on the move belong to families out to see the world. These trailers, RVs, and other mobile homes are like homes away from home.
