Sumerians, Babylonians, and Assyrians shared the same basic religious beliefs.
They worshipped the same gods, even though the names might be different. They believed that human beings were created to serve the gods. Gods looked and acted like people but had supernatural powers. Spirits (good and bad) and demons also affected the lives of humans.
