Sometimes weather forecasters have hard choices to make about hurricane evacuations. But they can get help.
There’s a brave group of pilots called hurricane hunters. They follow hurricanes in planes full of weather instruments. Their job is to fly into the eye and measure the force of the hurricane. Then they send back important information. It’s a bumpy ride: they pass through dark, swirling clouds where winds blow 90 or 100 mph!
