The future was full of possibilities. New types of music swept the nation. As did new types of dress and entertainment. America was moving past the pain and destruction of war. How? By building tomorrow – road by road and skyscraper by skyscraper. Still, problems lay in wait in the ’20s. They hinted that the rush of wealth might not last.
