The emperor, Constantine the Great, is making your city the new capital of the Roman Empire! Workers are building high walls to protect the city. It looks like the city will get even bigger. New people are moving in from all over the empire. There will be big new buildings, public baths, theaters, and a university. They’re bringing statues all the way from Rome. You can’t wait for them to finish the new Hippodrome. That’s the stadium where chariot races are held. They say it will be big enough for 100,000 people!
