Bicycles keep getting better. Some have computerized gears that know when to shift, like cars.
Electric bikes, or e-bikes, can be powered by a rechargeable motor. Or the rider can use the pedals. No matter how fancy bikes get, the U.S. is a car culture. In many cities and towns, cars make biking not much fun. In other places, two-wheelers and four-wheelers are finding a good balance.
