Bicycles are always getting better. Today, some bikes have computerized gears that shift automatically, like cars.
Electric bikes, or e-bikes, can be powered by an electric motor – or with the pedals. But no matter how cool bikes get, the U.S. is a car culture. Many cities and towns are so car-oriented that biking is no fun. In others, though, two-wheelers and four-wheelers are finding a balance.
