- from World’s Early People
Imagine that winter is nearly here, and your clan has collected and eaten all the edible plants around for miles.
Now you’re competing for food not just with other humans, but also other animals, and the herds have been growing smaller by the day. It’s time for you and your clan to leave. You'll spend the night in a shelter made of reeds and branches found near your campsite.
Not so long ago, last summer and fall, life was much easier. Delicious food was everywhere, and it only took a few hours to find the food you needed for each day. Your clan might return to this place next summer, but right now you’re heading for places where you found food last winter. You're hoping you will find food there again this winter.
