If you visit a rain forest and want to see and smell most of the flowers, you’re going to be quite disappointed. Most rain forest flowers are found high in the branches of trees—as close to sunlight as they can get.
But, don’t despair. There are many intriguing and colorful plants and flowers that can be seen from the forest floor.
The plants and trees of the rain forest are among the most valuable treasures on Earth. About one-fourth of all medicines come from rain forest plants. So far, only 1 percent of the plants have been examined for their healing properties.
