People have been mapping locations for thousands of years. They’ve mapped the land. They’ve even mapped the stars in the sky. Making and reading maps are ways people learn about the world and where things are located in it.
Some of the first maps may have been simple drawings on cave walls. But as people learned more about the world, maps changed. They made new maps. Technology changed, too. Now human-made satellites in space can track our location on maps on our cell phones. We’ve come a long way!
