It may be easy for you to picture a map of your classroom. It’s also not too hard to picture a map of your neighborhood or even your community. But what about the whole world? That’s huge! And if you wanted to show your own location in the world, you’d be a teeny, tiny speck too small to see on a map!
Mapmakers came up with two ways to show the whole world – globes and world maps. Both globes and world maps show the locations of Earth’s oceans, continents, and countries. But globes and world maps are also different. Let’s find out how.
