Abraham Lincoln died more than 150 years ago. Yet he is still one of the world’s most respected figures.
Many of his ideals came from books he read as a child. Books about Washington, Jefferson, and other leaders. Their ideals created “a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.” The boy learned those ideals. The man lived up to them. It is for those ideals that Abraham Lincoln is looked up to today.
