Naturally, such a great painter must have had great work habits. He must have worked hard to finish all of his major works. Right? Well, not exactly.
Leonardo didn’t finish most of his major works! Some say that’s because he was a perfectionist and never happy with the work. Others say his interests changed all the time. He’d quit one project to start a new one. Some say his attention span was so short, he’d lose interest in bigger projects.
For whatever reasons, Leonardo only finished a few paintings. But even these were enough to make it clear that he was a brilliant artist.
