Flowers can’t talk, of course, but they do have a language. For example, if you give a geranium to someone, that’s like saying, “You’re childish.”
On the other hand, giving someone a red rose means, “I love you.” At the other extreme, if you send someone a wild tansy (a type of aster), you’ve just declared war!
Other flowers have other meanings, like peace, love, friendship, and even “welcome.” They serve as symbols in parades, weddings, funerals, holidays, festivals, and even at sporting events.
