The continent of Asia is huge. It has many different deserts.
The Gobi is a cold desert of gravel and rock. Winters are snowy, and temperatures drop as low as –40°F. The camels there have thick hair and two humps. The Arabian Desert is the sandiest in the world. About one-third of it is sand, and it has a lot of oil underground. The Negev is a rocky, mountainous desert. Planting, farming, and watering have turned parts of it into a green land of trees.
