People who saw the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus called it the most beautiful building on Earth.
It had a double row of marble columns. Marble also covered the walls. Its statue of the Greek goddess Artemis was decorated with precious stones. It may have been the most beautiful of the Seven Wonders of the World.
