Suppose your friend Calvin knocks over a cup of milk.
Seeing the spill, he grabs the nearest thing to wipe it up – a sheet of paper from his notebook. No matter how he tries, though, the paper doesn’t absorb much of the milk. So he’s left with a wad of soggy paper and a puddle of milk still on the floor. “Maybe paper wasn’t the best thing I could have used to wipe up the spill,” Calvin says to himself.
