You may have heard someone being called a barracuda. It means the person is very aggressive in trying to get their way. It’s also the name of a fish.
Barracudas (the fish) live mostly in the warm, shallow waters of the coral reefs and shorelines near the equator. That’s where they can find plenty of food. These long, tube-shaped fish are often described as fierce fighters. Maybe that’s the reason some sports teams are known as the barracudas. The San Jose Barracuda ice hockey team is just one example.
