Some of the people of the Southwest live in their traditional homelands, much as their ancestors did.
Others have moved to cities to live and work, returning home only for visits. Most, however, have one foot firmly planted in their traditions and the other in today’s American culture. Here is a brief sampling of some Southwest traditions still honored in modern lives.
