What do you think about when someone says “America”?
Probably the United States of America. But did you know the Americas include two continents, North and South America? And that there are 35 countries in the Americas? People from Canada, Mexico, Chile, and Argentina all live in the Americas. The United States shares the continent of North America with Canada and Mexico. North America also contains seven smaller countries that make up Central America. Some people say the 13 island nations in the Caribbean Sea are also part of North America. South America contains another 12 countries.
