Novelist John Steinbeck said, “All war is a symptom of man‘s failure as a thinking animal.”
War is a failure of politics, of diplomacy, and of creativity. Yet, governments, and by extension people, engage in war over and over again. The stakes get higher and higher, and the weapons get more deadly, the dangers more extreme. While many people would probably agree with these views about war, governments continue to wage war, and protesters continue to object.
