What kind of Earth will we leave for future generations? We must remember to live in a way so that people in the future can meet their needs. This is sustainability.
Look at paper and paper products. They are usually made from trees. What if people use up so much paper that we cut down trees faster than new ones can grow? Our use of this resource would not be sustainable. Also, it takes a lot of water and fuel to turn trees into paper.
Today, trees are not in urgent danger of being used up. Other resources are, though. The good news is that we are taking steps towards sustainability.
