You can use your senses to describe many properties, or distinctive features, of matter.
Your senses can tell you its color, shape, size, smell, texture, sound, and taste. But your senses can’t tell you everything. Taste, for example, can’t tell you anything about a computer. Smell probably won’t help you describe a baseball. But mass, weight, volume, and density will do it all.
