If light, sound, and a spaceship raced to the Moon, which one would win?
If you bet on light, you know that it can outrun anything and everything, by far. It would get to the Moon in just over a second, and the spaceship would come in a very distant second, about three days later. Sound would fizzle out as soon as it left the atmosphere. It can’t travel in empty space.
