Dogs get a paws up for their service to humans. Ever since dogs and humans got together, dogs have been showing that they can be trained to improve or save human lives.
Some dogs take on dangerous missions, such as sniffing out bombs. Other dogs learn how to help a blind person cross the street. Sometimes dogs without any special training at all leap to the defense of humans, pulling them from a burning building or pushing them from the path of a moving car.
