How do we decide what’s a boat and what’s a ship?
A boat can fit on a ship, but a ship can’t fit on a boat. Also, a boat is a water vessel that’s less than 30 feet long. If it is longer than 30 feet but not large enough to cross the ocean or another large body of water, it might be called a yacht. If it can travel the ocean, it’s described as a ship. Regardless of what you call them, people have been building these vessels for millennia, using all kinds of materials.
