People have been using ships to fight wars for more than 3,000 years. In ancient times, ships were weapons.
The front end, or bow, was sharp. It could be used to ram enemy boats and ships. Nowadays, a warship does one of three things. It may carry soldiers and weapons into battle. It may be a base for planes and helicopters. It may be used for fighting.
