- from Aztecs
For the Aztecs, religion was a huge part of daily life. It was as normal as eating or breathing.
The city of Tenochtitlan was filled with huge open-air temples. The Great Temple was the biggest. It was in the center of the city. The Aztecs believed they lived in the era of the fifth Sun and that the world would end violently one day. They made human sacrifices to delay that day.
