Products in a supermarket are organized by what they have in common. Cereals are in one place, and drinks are in another.
It’s the same with the different elements. Instead of “sitting” together in supermarket aisles, they’re organized in the rows and columns of a chart. That chart is called the Periodic Table. Where an element sits in the Periodic Table tells us a lot about it.
