Some are native to this land. Many Americans came from Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and South America. Despite our differences, we unite as a single nation like no other. Our deep belief in the validity of our government is part of what holds us together, though we may not always agree with our leaders—or each other. Our shared experiences and symbols are part of this sense of unity.
