They come to escape conflict, or problems, in their home countries, such as war. They come for the chance to do great things in America, too!
Immigration has also changed through the years. In the past, most immigrants came from Europe. Today, immigrants come to the United States from all over the world. They bring diversity, or many different ideas and ways of living.
