A force is a push or a pull. If a force is strong enough, it can cause an object to move. We use forces and react to forces all the time.
From the moment we wake up until the moment we fall asleep, and even while we sleep. But all forces are not the same. Some, like ordinary pushes and pulls, occur when objects come in contact. Others, like gravity and magnetism, occur when objects are at a distance.
